The UC Santa Cruz Postbacc Program offers a variety of mentorship opportunities to support student professional development. We place students in mentorships based on availability, with priority given to those enrolled in a cohort program.
Learn from experience
Students in the UC Santa Cruz Postbacc program have the opportunity to participate in mentoring programs at health care organizations that offer networking with physicians at recruitment events, college seminars, volunteer health education events, and research internships with physician mentors.
You'll have the opportunity to shadow physicians and observe different specialties, gain valuable insights into clinical environments. Some placements also provide experience to work closely with residents, and contribute to research initiatives and small quality improvement projects.
