KRIS HAMNER, MBA, has over 25 years of global human resources leadership experience across technology, life sciences, logistics, and manufacturing sectors. A versatile and strategic leader, he has worked at Hewlett Packard, Hitachi, and fast growth private equity-backed companies, enabling business and employee success, company transformation, and HR innovation. He is passionate about making HR a competitive advantage through business partnerships, employee engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. He brings a proven ability to develop, implement, innovate, and scale people strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent in a globally competitive environment. In the broader HR community, he contributes as board president of the National Human Resources Association – Silicon Valley, as an advisor to firms and nonprofits, and as a guest speaker at industry events. He earned a Master’s in Finance and Management Consulting from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Nevada, in addition to multiple professional certifications.

This class meets simultaneously in a classroom and remotely via Zoom. Students are expected to attend and participate in the course, either in-person or remotely, during the days and times that are specified on the course schedule. Just like a traditional in-person class meeting, you are expected to attend and participate in the discussion. Students attending remotely are also strongly encouraged to have their cameras on to get the most out of the remote learning experience.

You will be granted access in Canvas to your course site and course materials approximately 24 hours prior to the published start date of the course.

Students attending the class in-person are expected to bring a laptop / tablet to each class meeting.
