SATYEN KANSARA, MS, head of data and visualization at Illumio, has more than 20 years of experience focused on Big Data platforms, large-scale distributed systems managing petabytes of data, and technical leadership. He has held leadership positions at CDK Global, Nutanix, SavvyShopper, Infoblox, and Juniper Networks. He is passionate about teaching and mentoring and has been training working professionals and university students in Big Data technologies, algorithms, data structures, and preparing for technical interviews. Kansara has also mentored middle school students in building complex software projects in team environments.

This class meets simultaneously in a classroom and remotely via Zoom. Students are expected to attend and participate in the course, either in-person or remotely, during the days and times that are specified on the course schedule. Students attending remotely are also strongly encouraged to have their cameras on to get the most out of the remote learning experience. Students attending the class in-person are expected to bring a laptop to each class meeting.
